(Washington, DC) -- Lawmakers have another week to patch together a big government funding deal. President Biden has signed a continuing resolution to fund the government through December 23rd as negotiations on Capitol Hill continue. Leaders on both sides of the aisle have been working to pass a bigger spending package before the end of the month, with sights set on final passage before Christmas Eve. However, House Republicans have been pushing to move the omnibus deadline into next year when they take control of the chamber to have more leverage over negotiations.
