(Brussels) -- Meta Platforms is being hit with antitrust violations in Europe.

According to the Wall Street Journal, the EU charged the U.S. tech company with potentially limiting competition by automatically giving Facebook users access to its Marketplace service.

The commission also accused Meta of making it harder to compete for online advertising services. The company faces a possible fine of ten-percent of its global revenue.

Meta will be allowed to argue its case before the commission makes a final decision.
