(San Francisco, CA) -- Twitter's new view counts feature isn't getting a lot of "Likes" from users.

Twitter CEO Elon Musk announced on December 1st that the feature is similar to view counts on Twitter videos and claimed "tweets are read about 100 times more than they are liked."

One user tweeted that they like "being blissfully unaware when people are ignoring me." Another compared it to "a check engine light: no one wants to see it and eventually I'm gonna forget it's there." And one wrote, "you really gonna know when someone had a bad tweet when they got loads of views and no likes."

This all comes as Musk recently announced he would consider stepping aside as CEO of the social media giant for a more 'behind the scenes' role when he finds someone who would want to run the front-end of the company.
