(Deerfield, IL) -- Demand for cough and cold medicine is helping Walgreens' bottom line.

In its latest quarterly earnings report, the Illinois-based drugstore chain reported revenue of just under 33-point-four billion dollars. Earnings per share was one-16.

Walgreens is also increasing its full year sales guidance to more than 137-billion dollars.

Despite that, a more than five-billion-dollar opioid settlement led to the company suffering an overall loss in the three months that ended on November 30th.
