(Amherst, MA) -- A new national poll on the 2024 Republican presidential matchup is out from the University of Massachusetts.
The poll, which interviewed about a thousand respondents, indicates Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is neck-and-neck in a head-to-head matchup with former President Trump.
The two candidates beat out several others including former Vice President Mike Pence, former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley, and Texas Senator Ted Cruz.
To this point, only former President Trump has officially declared candidacy for the 2024 election, though DeSantis and South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem have teased runs as well.
