Largest ever gathering of turtles in Brazil, Bolivia

(Brazil) -- New footage shows the largest ever gathering of turtles on the planet.

Wildlife Conservation Society cameras captured hundreds of thousands of baby giant South American river turtles hatching on beaches near the border of Brazil and Bolivia from mid-December through early January.

In September, around 80-thousand adult female turtles were seen laying their eggs at these nesting beaches along the Guaporé River.
