(Pawtucket, RI) -- Hasbro is going to lay off around a thousand employees.

The toy maker announced the job cuts on Thursday, along with a warning that it expects weak holiday-quarter results.

The layoffs will reduce Hasbro's global workforce by around 15-percent as the company looks for ways to save between 250-million and 300-million dollars a year by the end of 2025.
