(San Jose, CA) -- Zoom is set to lay off 13-hundred employees.
Its CEO said in a blog post the company needed to adapt to the "uncertainty of the global economy."
Zoom saw a huge boom during the pandemic when a lot of the workforce did their jobs from home.
The company's leader said employees who are laid off will be offered up to 16 weeks of salary as well as healthcare coverage.
