(Columbia, SC) -- It took some time, but another candidate has surfaced in the race for President next year.
Former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley has announced her run for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination.
She made the announcement in a video Tuesday morning. Haley served as United Nations ambassador during the first two years of the Trump administration.
Ironically enough, she'll now compete with former President Trump for the Republican nomination for President. Haley and Trump are currently the only two confirmed candidates in the race, though President Biden has teased a possible run for re-election.
Also, many expect Florida Governor Ron DeSantis to throw his hat in the ring due to his massive win in the last year's gubernatorial race in Florida.
