(New York City, NY) -- An owl who escaped from a zoo in New York City earlier this month is living every captive birds' dream.
The Central Park Zoo will allow Flaco to keep his freedom, at least for now.
Wildlife experts tried to lure the bird back in after spotting him on Thursday, but they were unsuccessful.
In a statement, zoo officials said the bird "has been very successful at hunting" prey, so they'll let him remain free unless "he shows any sign of difficulty or distress."
