(Miami, Florida) -- Former President Trump is calling his New York hush money payment case a "new way of cheating" on elections.

In an interview that aired Monday, Trump noted he doesn't know if the probe helps or hurts his chances of another run at the White House in 2024. He claimed he's leading in the polls and did nothing wrong as it relates to campaign finance laws.

The investigation centers around a payment Trump's former lawyer Michael Cohen made to porn star Stormy Daniels in 2016 to cover-up an alleged affair.

As Trump faces a potential indictment, he said he never had an affair or relationship with Daniels, adding that "it's all made up."
