Biden: supporting Ukraine "overwhelmingly" in interest of U.S.

(Washington, DC)  —  President Biden says it’s “overwhelmingly” in the interest of the U.S. to continue supporting Ukraine in its war with Russia.

The president was asked if he’s concerned the removal of Kevin McCarthy as House Speaker may threaten Congressional support for Ukraine.

Biden said he is concerned but noted a majority of members of both parties have said they are in favor of backing Kyiv.

This comes as Ohio Congressman Jim Jordan and House Majority Leader Steve Scalise are officially running for Speaker.

Jordan told reporters today funding Ukraine is not a top priority for Americans.
