State Officials Working On More Equality After New Survey Shows North Dakota Lacking

(Bismarck, ND)  --  North Dakota ranks near the bottom in equality, according to a recent Human Rights Campaign report.  Data released this week shows that the state falls into the "high priority to achieve basic equality" category because of discriminatory laws and policies.  State lawmakers, meanwhile, are working on legislation to change this narrative.  As of yesterday, House Bill 1443 is getting another look as it outlines police officers' responses to reported hate crimes.
