ND House Votes to Restrict Transgender Athletes

(Bismarck, ND)  --  The North Dakota House of Representatives is voting in favor of a measure to ban transgender athletes from competing on teams that do not align with their natural birth gender.  Supporters say the bill is designed to protect girls who, physiologically, are not as strong or as fast as boys.  It passed 65-to-27.  The measure  now heads to the Senate for its consideration.
