(Bismarck, ND) -- Governor Doug Burgum is one of 17 Republican governors to sign a joint letter asking President Biden to rethink his oil and gas policy. The governors want Biden to withdraw his executive order issued in late January banning new oil and gas development on federal land and in offshore waters. The governors say the order will negatively affect the economy, the cost of energy, and the nation's security interests. The letter was also signed by South Dakota's Kristi Noem and Montana's Greg Gianforte.
