ND House Passes Stand Your Ground Bill

(Bismarck, ND)  --  The North Dakota House is moving forward with a bill that would allow people to use deadly force for self-defense without needing to retreat first.  The Stand Your Ground approach passed yesterday varies from North Dakota's current Castle Doctrine, which allows deadly force to protect themselves, loved ones, or property but requires an attempt to retreat first.  Those who oppose the Stand Your Ground bill fear it could make situations in abusive households more dangerous.  It now heads to the Senate.
