(Minneapolis, MN) -- The seven jurors who have been seated in the trial of former Minneapolis Police officer Derek Chauvin [[ SHO-vin ]] will be questioned today about the city's 27-million dollar settlement with George Floyd's family. Chauvin is charged with second and third degree murder in the unarmed Black man's death while in police custody last May. Last Friday, the City of Minneapolis settled a wrongful death lawsuit brought by Floyd's family. Prosecutors and defense attorneys are concerned about how that development might affect the impartiality of the juror pool.
