Most Of ND In Enduring Extreme Drought

(Bismarck, ND)  --  Most of North Dakota remains in an enduring extreme drought.  The latest U.S. Drought Monitor map was released yesterday and showed that 85-percent of the state is in extreme drought, up slightly from last week.  The extreme drought is centered around western and central North Dakota. The National Weather Service reports that April precipitation was well below average.  The state has received widespread precipitation over the past two weeks.
