North Dakota State Water Commission Ups Drought Aid

(Bismarck, ND)  --  North Dakota's State Water Commission is upping drought aid for ranchers.  The commission approved two more water supply assistance programs to help rancher battle this summer's drought.  Members also set aside more money to the existing Drought Disaster Livestock Water Supply Project Assistance Program.  The actions will add to state aid by five-million dollars.  The latest U.S. Drought Monitor map released late last week shows more than half of North Dakota is in extreme or exception drought, the worst of the categories.
