Tornadoes Struck Twin Cities Areas Friday

(St. Paul, MN) -- The National Weather Service has confirmed that at least three tornadoes struck as thunderstorms hit the southern Twin Cities on Friday.

The three, all brief and rated EF0, came down in Burnsville, Apple Valley and Savage. Officials say at least two of them may have spawned simultaneously, but there is little information on related damage.

The NWS is still looking into parts of Lakeville and Henderson that suffered some damage.
