North Dakota Senators Oppose BLM Confirmation

(Washington, DC) -- North Dakota's U.S. senators are standing against the confirmation of the new head of the Bureau of Land Management.

The Senate approved the appointment of Tracy Stone-Manning Thursday to lead the BLM.

Senator John Hoeven opposed her confirmation because she said she wouldn't immediately resume oil and gas lease sales. Senator Kevin Cramer says Stone-Manning has a "radical history" and shows a "willingness to lie to the American people."
