Lawmakers narrowing down ARPA proposals

(Bismarck, ND) -- North Dakota lawmakers are making decisions about how to allocate more than a billion dollars in American Rescue Plan Act funds.

House Majority Leader Chet Pollert says high priorities include water projects, economic development, a natural gas pipeline, and Department of Transportation infrastructure. Other strong contenders include higher education improvements.

Legislators hope to finalize the allocations by the time they meet in November, while allowing for changes up until the final vote.

The legislative session gets underway November 8th in Bismarck.
