North Dakota joins states' lawsuit against Biden vaccine mandate

(Bismarck, ND) -- North Dakota is joining a multi-state lawsuit against the Biden administration's plan to impose a vaccine mandate on federal contractors and federal employees.

In a statement released yesterday, state Attorney General Wayne Stenehjem reiterated that the States' Complaint argues that the President's executive order runs counter to federal law and is unconstitutional.

President Biden's mandate affects companies with 100 or more employees and federal contractors. It would require vaccination of their employees or weekly testing in order to avoid a $14,000 fine per violation and potential legal penalties. The proposed legislation would affect upwards of 100 million Americans.

The complaint filed by Stenehjam also claims such a mandate, if enacted, would prompt mass resignations and damage state economies.
