COVID-19 cases spike at state penitentiary

(Bismarck, ND) -- COVID-19 cases are spiking at the North Dakota State Penitentiary.  

North Dakota Department of Corrections officials say the prison has the highest number of active positive inmates to date. Officials say 63 of the 525 inmates have active cases of the virus, up from 17 last week.  

Active positive cases among staff increased from 14 last week to 19 on Monday.
