(Minneapolis, MN) -- News outlets will be allowed to live broadcast the trial of former Brooklyn Center police officer Kim Potter.

On Tuesday, Hennepin County Judge Regina Chu ruled that video and audio recording, along with live broadcasting will be permitted in the courtroom during the trial. Judge Chu also ordered that sidebar discussions will not be allowed to be audio recorded but will be allowed to be captured on video.

The decision comes days after news outlets asked Chu to reconsider banning live broadcasting and recording during the trial. Potter is facing first-and-second-degree manslaughter charges for the shooting death of Daunte Wright.

Her trial is set to begin on November 30th with jury selection.
