(Fargo, ND) -- The North Dakota Department of Transportation has announced that I-29 is reopened in all directions following its shutdown throughout the evening.
Severe winter weather, including blizzard-like conditions, caused the roadway to be closed beginning Sunday evening through Monday morning.
NDDOT still does advise drivers that icy conditions may still be present on highways throughout the state. Motorists are encouraged to slow down and drive for the conditions.
At the height of the winter weather concerns, I-29 was closed from the Canadian border to the North Dakota-South Dakota border as a result.
