(St. Paul, MN) -- Governor Tim Walz says Minnesota will be getting $47-million-dollars in federal American Rescue Plan aid.
Walz announced the funding Tuesday, saying it will mostly be used to pay for more rapid COVID-19 tests, to support for childcare programs, and to provide hunger relief. The governor says the funding will help Minnesotans battle the social, economic, and health care challenges that come with COVID-19.
Childcare providers can apply for the January Child Care Stabilization Base Grant through the Minnesota Department of Human Services.
