(Jamestown, ND) -- A North Dakota Highway Patrol (NDHP) vehicle was struck near Jamestown with an SUV.

Around 2:30pm today, a NDHP official was controlling traffic for snow plows just outside Jamestown working to clear an area around an abandoned vehicle on I-94. A second truck was parked behind the squad car, with all emergency lights activated. That is when two vehicles, a passenger car and a SUV went around a parked snow plow. The passenger vehicle slowed down and was struck from behind by the SUV. The passenger vehicle then drove into the parked patrol vehicle.

All vehicles were towed from the scene, and occupants from the SUV were taken to the Jamestown Regional Medical Center. The incident remains under investigation by the Jamestown Police Department.
