(St. Paul, MN) -- A Red Lake felon has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for multiple charges including intent to distribute illegal substances and firearm possession.
Court documents say in April of 2019, 34-year-old Joshua Jon Lussier was found to be in possession of a rifle. Lussier has prior felony convictions in Pennington County, so is unable to to own or possess firearms at any time.
Court documents say Lussier was stopped in November of 2021 after a warrant for his arrest was made. Court documents say officers found a "glass smoking device commonly used for methamphetamine" along with 903 grams of methamphetamine and 83 grams of fentanyl. Court documents say Lussier admitted the drugs belonged to him, and were intended for distribution.
Lussier was sentenced to 120 months in prison, followed by five years of supervised release, for illegally possessing with the intent to distribute methamphetamine and fentanyl and possessing a firearm as a felon.
