(Bismarck, ND) -- Governor Doug Burgum is ordering flags to be flown at half-staff Thursday in honor of former U.S. Senator Harry Reid.

Thursday marks the interment of the Nevada Senator who passed away on December 28th at the age of 82. The North Dakota governor's order is in alignment with President Joe Biden's proclamation issued shortly after Reid's passing.

Reid's body laid in state in the Capitol prior to being removed Wednesday ahead of today's interment.
