(Bismarck, ND) -- Staff at skilled nursing facilities across North Dakota have until February 14th to get at least their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccination.

That is to keep in compliance with the federal government's vaccine mandate for long-term care workers that was upheld by the Supreme Court last week. As of last Thursday, 82-percent of workers at those facilities in the state are vaccinated.

Now, state officials and health care leaders are working to educate staff on the benefits of the vaccination.
