(Minot, ND) -- State and local leaders are checking in on the progress of a flood protection project on the Souris River in Minot.
Senator John Hoeven, local officials, and members of the army corps of engineers did a walk-through yesterday of some areas in phase four of the project. Leaders say the federally funded project has reached Milestone One.
The project has received more than 750-million dollars in federal support.
