(Fargo, ND) -- Fargo Cass Public Health (FCPH) is announcing a new campaign to support infant breastfeeding in businesses across the county.

FCPH launched its Infant Friendly February campaign through the North Dakota Department of Health (NDDoH), which would recognize businesses that have a breastfeeding supportive work environment. The designation signals businesses have a breastfeeding policy, include a private space for milk expression, have access to a sink, and easy access to refrigeration.

Those who wish to create a breastfeeding supportive work environment can apply for grants totaling up to $500 through the NDDoH. Currently, only 50 businesses across Cass County are designated as Infant Friendly, and FCPH wants to raise that number to 62 by the end of 2022.

Businesses can voluntarily apply for the designation. You can learn more by clicking here
