(Minot, ND) -- The U.S. Department of Agriculture is expected to begin providing livestock disaster payments to producers by next month.
Officials approved 750-million in payments back in September in response to last year's drought. Thousands of producers in the ranching industry were impacted by the extremely dry conditions.
The payments are a part of the USDA's Phase One plan which will require little to no additional paperwork from producers.
