NDHP working to increase presence of women in law enforcement

(Bismarck, ND) -- The North Dakota Highway Patrol is working to increase the number of women in law enforcement.  

The agency's 30 by 30 initiative was signed Thursday and makes it a goal to hire at least 30 women by 2030.  

NDHP officials say the initiative is intended to ensure the agency more accurately represents the community they serve.
