(St. Paul, MN) -- Minnesota lawmakers are considering a bipartisan bill that would legalize sports betting in the state.

The bill is getting its first hearing in the House Commerce Committee Tuesday. If it passes, it would regulate gaming for Minnesotans 18 and up. It would allow sports betting lounges and casinos across the state, as well as online betting.

North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin have each legalized online or retail sports betting.
