U of M loosening mask mandate on campuses

(St. Paul, MN) -- The University of Minnesota system is loosening its mask requirements on all campuses.

Masks will no longer be required at sporting events, common areas, dining areas, and office workspaces. Masks will still be required in classrooms and labs, public transportation, healthcare settings, and areas where students may be exposed to hazardous materials or environmental issues.

The new policy goes into effect next Monday.
