(Bismarck, ND) -- A new candidate is entering the race for North Dakota Secretary of State.

Republican Marvin Lepp will face-off against fellow GOP candidate Michael Howe in the Republican primary on June 14th. Lepp is from Bismarck and says he plans to emphasize election integrity, focus on transparency of the office, and prioritize North Dakota's businesses. This is Lepp's first run for public office.

Current Secretary of State Al Jaeger has announced that he is not running for re-election when his term ends in December.
