Sandbag help urgently needed in Crookston, Mn

Update: The Emergency Operations Center in Crookston has confirmed to Flag Family Media that there has been a small breach in the dike system in Crookston along the Red Lake River. It occurred on the northeast side of the City of Crookston, and only affected one home, according to Emergency Operations Center officials. Gas and electricity has been turned off for the affected area.

Crookston, Mn - The City of Crookston is urgently in  need of sandbagging help. A plea for help went out around 10.a.m. Sunday seeking urgent help. Anyone who can help is urged to go to the city shop at  319 3rd Ave S. In Crookston.   

An Emergency Operations Center is set up. The numbers to call are 218-281-4363 or 218-281-4383.

According to a post from the Grand Forks County Sheriff’s Office, several homes, the fire hall and the library are in danger of flooding.
