Minneapolis mayor responds to report on MPD racial discrimination

(Minneapolis, MN)  --  Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey is reacting to a scathing report about the local police department.  The Minnesota Department of Human Rights released findings yesterday that showed the Minneapolis police force engaged in a pattern of racial discrimination.  Frey called the report repugnant and it needs to be different.  The two-year investigation revealed that the Minneapolis police department stops, searches, arrests, and uses force against people of color at a higher rate than white people.  The report was released about a month before the two year anniversary of George Floyd's death.
