(St. Paul, MN) -- Minnesota Governor Tim Walz is announcing a bipartisan deal to use the state's budget surplus.
It would spend eight-billion dollars over the next three years. Funding includes one-billion dollars for public schools, one-billion dollars for health and human services, 450-million dollars for public safety, and one-point-five-billion dollars for infrastructure projects.
Joint bipartisan committees will work over the next few days to determine the specifics of the spending plan.
