(Medora, ND) -- A new documentary on President Theodore Roosevelt will partly focus on his time in the Badlands of North Dakota.

Roosevelt famously said, "I never would have been president if it had not been for my experiences in North Dakota." In 1883, Roosevelt spent time in the Badlands that later became known as North Dakota.

The two-part documentary will air on the History Channel starting Monday, May 30th, Memorial Day, and will wrap up the following day.
