(Bismarck, ND) -- An effort looking to pass legal marijuana in North Dakota is now over halfway to reaching the total number of signatures needed to place the question on the November 2022 ballot.

New Approach North Dakota announced they have over 9,000 signatures in their possession. A total of 15,582 unique names are needed to place the question in front of voters on election day, and organizers say they are confident the remaining 43% of signatures will be collected by the July 11th deadline.

"We are grateful to the thousands of North Dakotans who have signed our petition to put a responsible cannabis legalization measure on the ballot this November," said David Owen, the campaign manager for New Approach North Dakota, "Thanks to voters’ overwhelming support for sensible reform, we have been able to reach the halfway point of our signature drive in just over 40 days."

To meet the signature quote by the deadline, organizers are announcing "drive thru" signing events between June 4th and 5th...
