(Pierre, SD) -- A public hearing is scheduled to decide whether to extend the application deadline for a proposed carbon-dioxide pipeline permit.
The South Dakota Public Utilities Commission will review a request by SCS Carbon Transport Wednesday. The company originally applied February 7th, and wants to push back the one-year deadline for a decision mandated by state law.
The proposed deadline is June 15th, 2023. Land owners along the proposed route want the commission to dismiss the application because of changes made to the route.
