(Bismarck, ND) -- The North Dakota Secretary of State's Office is reporting the lowest voter turnout for any statewide election since 2014.

Secretary of State Al Jaeger says over 105-thousand people cast ballots, accounting for just under 18 percent of voters. The SOS election website previously reported that percentage at just under 16 percent because of a technical error.

About 49-thousand of the total ballots were cast by mail.
