(Devils Lake, ND) -- The North Dakota Highway Patrol is announcing a retirement of a long-time colleague.
K-9 Castor was retired from service on June 15, 2022. The narcotics dog spent her whole career with Devils Lake Trooper Brett Mlynar. The pair was deployed over 200 times throughout the eastern half of the state.
Trooper Mlynar was named the NDHP Trooper of the Year in 2019, with the assistance of K-9 Castor.
