(Pierre, SD) -- Former Attorney General Jason Ravnsborg says the South Dakota House of Representatives should consider impeaching Governor Kristi Noem if allegations against her are found to be valid.

Ravnsborg made the comments Monday, his first public statement following his conviction by the Senate and removal from office in connection with his actions related to a 2020 crash where he killed a pedestrian.

The Government Accountability Board is investigating complaints that Noem abused her office for personal gain. Noem is accused of misusing the state's airplane fleet for personal and political functions and abusing her authority by helping her daughter navigate the process to become a certified state real estate appraiser.
