Nearly one million Minnesotans apply for hero pay

(St. Paul, MN) -- Nearly one million Minnesotans are applying for the state's hero pay program for frontline workers.

Governor Tim Walz says more than 900-thousand application have been received. Those who qualify will receive part of a 500-million dollar pool for those who worked in person during the height of the pandemic.
