(Minot, ND) -- A Minot man has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for injecting a 16-year-old with a fentanyl and methamphetamine mixture which resulted in her death.

Court officials say Mark Rodgers Junior pled guilty to several charges on Friday prior to his sentencing. Rodgers is also required to pay an additional $8,000 in restitution costs, serve an additional five years on multiple lesser charges, and serve another year on a separate charge.

Authorities say Rodgers injected the 16-year-old girl with a fentanyl and methamphetamine mixture in a Minot hotel room in December of 2020.
