(Grand Forks, ND) -- The Grand Forks International Airport is temporarily closed to commercial flights.
Crews are working 24-hour shifts to complete repairs on the runway intersection.
Airport officials say the reconstruction of the intersection is necessary, but it does leave enough available runway to bring in larger aircraft.
The work is set to be completed by Friday, September 2nd at 9:30 a.m. That is when commercial traffic will resume.
